FRIZZLE STARTED COCKEREL

A Frizzle chicken is a distinctive and friendly chicken known for its curly, outward-turning feathers that give it a fluffy, tousled appearance. Instead of lying flat, the feathers curl away from the body, making Frizzles look almost like they’ve been gently ruffled by the wind.

Frizzles are not a true breed, but a feather type that can appear in several breeds such as Cochins, Plymouth Rocks, and Leghorns. They are typically calm, social, and easy to handle, which makes them popular with families and backyard poultry keepers.

In terms of productivity, Frizzles are moderate egg layers, producing medium to large eggs depending on the underlying breed. Because their feathers don’t insulate as well, they do best in mild climates or well-protected coops, as they can be more sensitive to cold and wet weather.

Overall, Frizzle chickens are prized for their ornamental beauty, gentle temperament, and unique charm, making them a standout addition to any backyard flock.

Don’t forget to bring a box or other container for transportation from the hatchery to their new home.
