Grower Chick

  • Age: Approximately 6–14 weeks old

  • Purpose: Rapid growth and development

  • Diet: Grower feed (higher protein than layer feed, but not as high as starter chick feed)

  • Care Needs:

    • Still needs protection from predators and cold, but no longer requires heat lamps after a few weeks

    • Space for roaming and exercise

    • Gradually transitioning to adult diet
